Sudanese Theater Project
A Migration Story with six Sudenese refugees
The International Program
A piece of theater initiated by six Sudanese refugees from the migrant community of South Tel Aviv. Supported artistically and logistically by the Garden Library for Refugees and Migrant Workers in the Levinski Garden.
The story being presented describes the refugees' journey from Sudan to Israel, and their experience trying to live here. The show is based on the personal stories of the actors. Although these are not trained actors, their presence on stage is extraordinarily moving and powerful.
The show will be followed by a Q & A session with the actors.
Please Note: A large portion of the show will be in Arabic with a live translation to Hebrew. A basic knowledge of Hebrew is suggested. Option for English during the Q & A.
